Are These Coilovers Able To Be Cleaned To Look New?

I found a set of Sway A Way coilovers and Rear Shocks, but are pretty dirty. He sent me the following pictures below. They sale for $1500 new and I can get them for nearly half. He's supposed to pressure wash them and send me some pictures after. I'm pretty picky about what I put on my truck and like everything to look fairly new. Do ya'll think these can be cleaned up to look like new? I guess my main concern is how hard are the coilovers to disassemble and reassemble if needed to be able to clean better or have powder coated?

x2, looks like they just need to be pressure washed, I wouldnt think they would be too much to take apart of you wanted to get them re-powerdercoated. I would buy them if I was you

Yes, they're for the 6" PC and Fabtech lifts. Its kind of hard to see if the inner part of the coilover and the rear shocks have pitting or if it's just dirt. They're a year old.

You could always sand the rear shocks down and paint them yourself if there pitting

those look sweet.

For half the price of a new set i'd get them, esp since you get the rears also.

they look abit dirty, but once cleaned up they will prolly look like new.

Any idea of how many miles on them and also if he went off-roading with them, that would be my main concern ?

He's a member on another forum and I read one of his post where he mentioned taking the truck out to the dunes. He's from California. He said he didn't offroad the truck. I basically want them to eliminate the stacked spacers and looks so I probably won't notice if they have a little wear.

He's supposed to pressure wash them this weekend and send me some pics so I'll see how they look after that.

For half price I guess cosmetic shouldn't be the isssue. As long as they haven't been abu

as for dissasembly you loosen the top adjuster nut to loosen the spring and you remove the V cone on the bottom and the coils come off from the bottom. then you can clean the body. the caps are anodized and the springs are powdercoated. you could remove the tops but will need top bleed off the nitrogen first than have a shop recharge them

I just bought a set of Icon coilovers for a good deal and will be using them with my 6" spacer. if i dont sell them haha. I would snap them up for 700-800 bucks

your running stacked spacers and worried about the looks of dirty coilovers.

For half the price? Great deal and like mentioned above, it looks like surface dust. Seeing anodized parts touching concrete makes me cringe, but not a big enough concern to pass up the deal IMHO.
