There is a guy on here that has a 3in level setup with a bodylift. Looks real good. Don't know his name, but do a serch and you'll find him. He's been running that setup for awhile now, so he can give his opinion on this subject.

Here I am! I like people asking this question... I think he referring to me anyways.. But ya, I've had a 3" level kit since about a month after I got my truck. Ive had it on there for ~ 30K miles and offroaded a good bit. I put the body lift on last year and just recently an aal and Ive been running my 35s for ~ 20K miles and done most of my offroading with those... It handles fine. I try only to put in 4wd only when I need it, but Ive never had an issue other than the control arm rubbing the coil spring when it flexes out... Here's a couple pics of mine when it only had the 3" level kit on it:

And as is now:

Thanks man! Yeah I do. 2" long aal from 4wheelparts. I got about 1.5-2" out of it... It ride so much better now. It handles a lot firmer on the road, doesn't feel like its squishy around corners and towing is amazing

Edit: I only just recently put in the aal. So that last photo, which you cant see much on the side, I had it under there... but the first two was just the 3" level kit from fat bob's

ppl just dont like the 3" becuase it increases wear on ball joints most of the time due to the angles it puts the uca at but its all subject to personal preferance

if you want it do it.

Lol.... yeah man it's the new beater lol... I don't want to mess up my truck any more so I figured what the heck and cranked the t-bars all the way up on the tahoe and started using it. Now I just need a snorkel and some MTs for it... and a winch, cause where I plan on takin that thing, I dont want to have to take my truck to pull it out.

Yes its bad, but not VERY bad... It puts the CV axle and the control arms at angles, which in itself is not bad, but once you start to flex out your suspension, then you run into issues. But Ive never beat my truck much... I have some, but not much, but I've never had any issues with ball joints/cv axles - even when I drooped the front suspension out on a hill and got stuck... that was with stock rims/tires, but I had in 4x4 and had to dig the running board out. No issues from that tho.

streetassasin, looks really good man!

well the thing with kings, camburg, and bilstein is when you crank them up they its like you moved the sitting point up. So it still limits the flex the same as if you left it stock, but the close you move it to full extension, the less you have to extend it out if you hit a bump or something.... so in essence, no, its not as bad as a spacer, since it limits how far out the suspension can extend, unlike a spacer which just pushes everything down however many inches the spacer provides lift, in which case it does in fact overextend your front suspension.... if that made any sense
