It sounds expensive to me.

The shocks should be 40 to 50 a piece so they are charging you $250.00 or 2 to 2 1/2 hours labour to install them. I did mine myself on the garage floor in less than an hour so with a hoist and air tools 1/2 hour tops.

If anything just get the front ones installed, the back is a piece of cake anyone can do it with some hand wrenches.

How are the front ones any harder, it says he has a 2001 so the fronts should be just as easy as the rear. The shocks should be under $200 at your local Auto Zone and if they are for an 01, very easy install for all 4. If they are going on an 04 or newer, aPINCHbetter90 is right, pay the shop to do the fronts, well, at least remove and replace the coil spring. I used to mess with the backyard spring compressors but it is just so much easier to bring the struts to the shop, give them $20, have a cup of coffee and walk out 30 min's later with the struts in hand.

Yeah, but I dont have a jack, air tools or any mechanic experience and also a busy schedule so I'm just looking for someone to do it and not get ripped off in the mean time. Thanks for the info, I'll be looking around some more.

OK, I just put these on a buddy's truck in a driveway, took less than 1 hr for all 4, no jack or air tools required, so when shopping around for a price, I would be looking to spend no more than 1 hr at their hourly rate.
