ummmmmmm! I guess I'm a little confused. I was looking under my truck and saw that I have shackles on there already. My Haynes manual shows that the truck comes with them from the factory. Are these larger than the factory ones? I took a picture, I'll try to post one.

Yes, lol, all of our trucks have factory shackles on them. These are just built to raise the truck. They're actually shorter than factory ones; lowering shackles are longer, dropping the truck.

I don't know why I can't post a picture. For some reason in the posting rules it claims that I can't post an attachment.

I know what I wrote sounded goofy LOL. I'm just saying that the ones from suspension max don't look any different.

Well, now that I take a closer look, they do look smaller than the factory ones. I guess that I'm just confusing myself.

In fact, they are 2" shorter than your factory ones. This will give you about a 1.5" lift. Lowering shackels are about 2" longer than factory ones. It seems backwards at first, but thats just how it is!

Do you think that you could use the Air-Spring Kit with the Lift shackles?

Not positive, but I believe so since they act on different parts of your suspension

Well, I got me some shackles, but had to abort my first attempt due to poor time management, as I was also replacing my shocks. I was having problems removing the bottom bolt of the stock shackle. I'm guessing that I must have still had tension on the spring and shackle. I'll try it again when I've got more daylight. Where exactly did you have your jack stands?

On the frame in front of the rear wheels. I was able to loosen the bolts with a little tension on the spring. Then I put the jack under the pumpkin to remove any pressure on the bolts. You dont want the jacks on anything that will affect the rear axle.

The differential. Where the drive shaft come in to the rear axle. Looks kinda like a gray pumpkin
