Front end seems to be bouncing around

My 05 SCAB xlt 4x4 feels like the front end is bouncing around at speeds below 40 mph. I just took it to a shop today and they checked everything to make sure any suspension parts weren't loose or broken. They also rebalanced all of my wheels. They drove it and said it seems to ride fine, but not driving it everyday they can't tell if something feels wrong.

Could the shocks be going bad? I can't think of what else would make the truck feel like it would hop or bounce along down the road. I just don't want to start throwing parts at it, I don't have the money for that. There are 50,000 miles on the shocks now, if that is a good time to change them I will try that first I guess.

At 50k miles, shocks are definitely not going to hurt anything. Factory shocks don't tend to last very look. Get some Bilsteins.

Thanks. Would it make sense to get new upper and lower ball joints and sway bar end links at the same time? I don't know how long those should last either.

I don't know, this bouncing just started after I drove over a big mound of snow/ice a few weeks ago. Plus I beat on the truck a bit during the big February storm here in Pittsburgh.

Also check the Idler arm, Pitman arm, and Tie rod ends, just some more possibilities in addition to sway bar end links and ball joints. But I don't see how the shop wouldn't have checked them already so maybe not.

Crawled under it today, looks like there is power steering fluid leaking all over the rack where the steering comes into it. Taking it to the dealership Monday morning to see what is going on with it.
