lift with airbags??

I am going to get a 4" lift, most likley Rancho, for my truck. I do some towing and put a ton of gear in the back and sometimes on the trailer. I was wondering if it is possible to install airbags with the lift? Also if i could get a picture of anyone has them on. thanks

you can if the air bag mounts on top of the leaf spring and youre using blocks. maybe can get away with a 1.5" add a leaf but i donno. air lift makes the same kit for 2wd and 4wd f150s but the 4wd truck has a 2" factory block and there's no change in mounting or part number.

PM Zabeard. He has a 4" rancho lift and modified some airbags to work with it I believe.

Firestone kits are the way to go. IMO Then you can buy spacers for what ever lift you get. But, those spacers look hidious and all rigged out . I have a 6 in fabtech with Firestone bags as well . I ended up lifting the truck after I had the bags installed . So, I just made me some custom brackets.

Heres a picture of the spacers. Heres a picture of my spacers. If they look like reciever mounts they are. With a square tube inside that can travel up (and not tear the bags) when the rearend flexes.

That is a very simple solution!

I had been thinking of only mounting the top of the airbag, and having a "pad" for the bottom to contact so that the suspension could still droop without pulling the bags apart.

How well does the setup actually work? Will it slide out of there freely? Is it noisy?

I have some AIRLIFT airbags and on their website they sell spacers in 1-2"(can't remember) increments that u can lock together depending on the size of lift you have to raise the airbag.
