leveling kit
leveling kit
trucks in the shop right now getting a level kit put in. people told me the front end may come out a little higher then the rear, if it does, it should break in and level itself out, this true? anybody have a problem like this?
True in my case for the most part.
Here is my truck about 30 minutes after installing the kit.

Here it is two days after the kit install.

Just a note about the pic with the truck right after the install. The tire shop had inflated my front tires to 44 lbs. and the truck is pointing up hill. It has settled some since the install. The second pic was taken with the truck on more level ground.
I measured recently, and the trucks rear end sits 1/4" higher than the front. I measured from the top of the tire to the bottom edge of the fender.

Ive got a 97 with the leveling kit and it didnt really settle....ive seen dodges "settle" like crazy when the were first put on....if it does sit with a pitbull stance i would just do the easy thing and put some taller blocks in the rear
yea it should settle down a little, i just got mine put on yesterday and it seems to be leveling out a little more after just one day, but i plan on eventually getting either a bigger block in the back end or add a leafs to get some more height. Getting my new tires on friday! stay tuned for pics then

It depends on the kit you got. Some kits use two poly spacers, one between the spring and cup and one on top of the cup. If it was a poly spacer lift then yes it will break in. If its a steel or aluminum spacer than no there is nothing to break in.
