Differential drop brackets

Hey everyone sorry if I should have put this in the powertrain section but I have a 4 inch trailmaster lift with the tosion bars cranked. The trailmaster lift came with differential drop brackets however I guess they aren't long enough because my brand new cv joints knock when I turn sometimes. Do you think I could fabricate some longer drop brackets so I don't blow through cv joints? I don't want to lower the torsion bars because the truck is aligned at it's current height. Thanks for any input!

Which kit is it? Trail Master was purchased by Performance Automotive Group (Performance Accessories) in 2005. They re-engineered a lot of the old kits. The old kit is a bracket kit, the new one is a knuckle kit. If you are having an issue with one of the old ones, get a new one! If it's one of the new ones, you should call PAG at 928-636-7080 and talk to the techs.

It's one of the old ones which uses brackets. It had no knuckles. But I'm not about to spend 1500 bucks on a new kit if I could just fab up longer brackets
