Thank you sir!

Arms were a bit sore after the install. Install calls for some pretty stiff torque specs that got really wearing towards the end!

Ok what shocks do I go with? Just the Rancho ones or some other ones.
Looking at several websites shocks are either included or not.

Where exactly is the best place/pricing to get the kit?

So my next problem is trying to figure out who to get to install the thing and what should I expect to pay to have it installed.

Got an actual 5.25" lift in the front and 2.875" rear. Running 315/70 17 Goodyear Duratracs that measure out at 34.8" on 17x8.5 Vtec Raptors.

Total front lift 7.125" YMMV

I got the kit for just over $1200 because I searched teh interwebz and found a code for $$ off at Summit Racing's website. Got the front shocks there too. Rear shocks are Bilsteins from Shock Warehouse since they were running a deal advertised here.

Highly recommend Rancho's kit. Also recommend letting a pro install it unless you've got heavy duty air tools an 3/4" or 1" hand tools. None of the 3/4" stuff we've got at the firehouse was useful, all our stuff is SAE...
what about the install made it so hard?? i only ask cuz im in the middle of installing a 6" on my 2wd with my hand sockets 1/2 and 3/8 but i also have 1/2 impact wrench and 3/8 air ratchet. i ran into a snag cuz i cant get my new front cross member to line up on both sides.

I got my lift from 4wheeparts.com. I got it on sale with free shipping. I paid $1,800 and that included shocks. Give them a call and see what kind of deal they can give you.

I got the adjustable Rancho shocks with mine. I don't adjust them often, but you can feel a difference when you play with the settings.

Check around your area and see if you have any shops that typically do installs. I installed mine so I have no idea how much install costs are, hopefully somebody will chime in.

Bear in mind the differences in the lifts and front ends, but for me it was the initial loosening and final tightening of all bolts/nuts that needed to be torqued to 125+ lb/ft. Seemed like almost everything was 100 lbs or more and with only a 18" long 1/2" breaker bar... And again, NO air tools.

I hate to put it out there but it took me three 12 hour days to install the lift. Quite a bit longer than the 5 hours they note in the instructions. But they also mention having a friend help and I worked alone.

It was MUCH more difficult than R&Ring and lowering the A arms on my '64.5 Mustang

As far as your cross member lining up; has your truck/front end ever been hit? Also are you supporting the truck in the same places on BOTH sides while trying to line it up? I know these trucks are MUCH stronger, but there can be flex. To install an 'export brace' on the old Mustang I actually had to change and lift the front end from one side to get it to flex enough to line up with all of the bolts.

yea I knew they are different just interested in seeing what gave you the most trouble.

i called the manufacturer and they said its a tolerancing issue either on their part or ford that they know exists. i do have to say now that im done up front i dont want to do it again. it was a pain to say the least let alone not having 2 sockets i needed and i needed a new ball joint. i got some friends to help out and a local shop to help with the ball joint but man its been a long 12 hr day plus 6 hrs yesterday for just the front.

Finished mine Saturday. My friend brought his 05 with the rancho kit installed over. We uninstalled the kit, put his back to stock and installed the kit on mine. Total time was 18 hours. That includes two, 2 hour trips to town for balljoints and a cv shaft.

Couple pics
