I'm also going to put off road lights behind my grille and hooked up to my brights so they will be super bright, So when all you inconsiderate a-holes with HID's and projectors blind me.
Justin, my apologies. I didn't read your post carefully enough. What I read was, "I do NOT want to adjust them down just to save myself and everyone else the trouble of getting worked up about getting blinded." which is not what you said.

Sorry for including you with the others.

Oh please people, relax. I don't see any of you crucify any of the HID people like this. And don't act like you've never flashed someone back before either, we're all guilty of it.

Yeah, I'm done with this thread I have driven right past my own truck at night with lights and fogs on and my point is and was that it's CLEAR I do not have my bright lights on. It is not blinding in any way. And as someone said earlier, it looks no different than driving past an F250/2500 in a civic
So yeah, it still pisses me off when they flash me.

Same here I drove home behind my wife one night and she has a Pontiac G5, I asked her when we got home if they were too bright or blinding and she said, no worse than any other big truck.

I see how they may be bright coming over a hill or something, but no where near bad enough to cause someone to wreck and die in a fiery crash. I would assume if that happened to someone odds are they probably shouldn't be driving in the first place. So I don't buy that anyone with unadjusted headlights is endangering anyone's life, but as I said earlier I will be getting mine adjusted just because its annoying when your always getting flashed brights.

Oh and BTW when they do flash me with their brights I have never run off the road and flip 7 times just in case anyone was wondering.

Reading the idiotic replys, do you get the feeling that there might be quite a few insecure short people posting here?

Florida has a law that your bumpers can't be over a certain height from the ground also that was enacted after a lot of people got killed by these 'high rise' trucks.
Florida does have a bumper law, but if you read it carefully it really means nothing. After 5k pounds your truck is no longer required to have a bumper therefor you cant be ticketed for bumper heigth laws.

headlights are required to be 54" from ground to center of lense

drop lights can be made, must have hi-lo beam and turn signals.
--must mark the corner of the vehicle
--must be mounted on or in the bumper
--stock lights must be "blacked out"

this is a joke to those who might be confused

anyway, ive only been flashed 1 time, and my truck is one of the tallest on the site, my head lights are adjusted as much as possible. I think the stupid HIDs are more of a problem then lifted trucks.

one time i got flashed was this one time during spring brea.....wait sorry wrong story

once I got my front end lifted with 5.5" of lift i had to come back a couple days later to do the rear. so even with just my parking lights and fogs i was blinding ppl, my headlights shined into the trees haha. but with it level I dont get flashed. ill flash back if they flash me and im on low beams. if someone cuts me off like tonight driving home ill show them the awesome power of 600W of lights behind my grill...needless to say I could tell they had leather seats, 4 occputants, 2 males 2 females, TVs in the headrests....etc etc.

There's also no chance of me getting a ticket for headlights since my father-in-law is a Sheriff. But i'm sure it's "possible" that someone could if they pissed an officer off for some other reason.
