Bed bounce
Bed bounce
i got an 04 f150 with 6in procomp stage 2 lift with a procomp aal. running 35 12.50 17 tires. whenver i hit a bump the back seems to jump a lot and when i just ride down the road i can feel the bed bouncing. i dont know why it does this. but whenever i hit a bump in the road its bad.
I too have a lifted truck and the ride is stiff as hell. I accept it cause I know it's a truck AND it's not my daily driver. I personally would not likely drive a lifted truck as a daily driver.
i undertstand that its a truck. i just wouldnt think that it should be this rough i mean hell my dads f350 rides a lot better than mine. i read someone elses thread saying that put some kind of bar maybe a rear sway bar or traction bar and it seemed to help
It's possible that the sway bar might help. I'd just hate to see you go dumping money on items that aren't going to improve the ride all that much, if at all. I had traction bars installed on my truck about 1,000 miles after I had my lift installed and I don't recall them improving the ride quality all that much. The reason I had them installed is I went with a 6" rear lift block for my lift rather then an aal. (I did this to try and retain the factory ride to some extent.) and I was concerned about axle wrap\wheel hop since I tow often.
How long have you had your lift installed? My installer had me come back after a few hundred miles to have everything looked over and tightened.

I'd take out the AAL and see how it rides. My AAL stiffened up my ride quite a bit. We have pretty close to the same setup and mine rides a whole lot nicer than the 3/4 ton here at work. I'd say something is wrong in your *** end. Maybe the leaf is in the wrong spot??
yeah i really am thinking about taking the aal out and going with a bigger block. im gonna look at the position of the aal first though and if its in the wrong spot im gonna be going to give the shop where i got it done a talk. I put the lift on late july and the aal maybe a month after that.
