Rize Industries

Is the Rize Industries 12" lift a good lift for my 05 F150 or is it a waste of time??

If you have the cash and that's what you want to do it's fine. Rize makes a good product...they are just pricey. What makes you want to go with the 12 over a 6 or an 8? What are your goals?

I have installed a few of the 8" kits, and one of the 12" suspension systems. Personally, if I were spending the money on that system, I would compliment it with some new coilovers up front to improve even beyond factory ride quality. Great way to clear 40s...just keep in mind that every stock component is still only half ton, and maintenance will naturally be a lot more of an issue; so you will never truly be set up to beat on any F150 with 40s until you have bumped up to about a Dana 60.

Gears are a necessity as well.

For 5K I'd rather go with a D60, coil-over'd, radius arm'd straight axle, just like the super duties. You can then pick 8 inches - 16+ inches of lift if you want as it will be adjustable to a bigger degree compared to the Rize kit.

not gonna do a SAS with coilovers for 5k unless you plan on doing the work yourself. Or go with some cheap parts

Seen plenty of trucks come out of the fab shop with a SAS for under 5K. This is not rocket science or reinventing the wheel. Get creative with searching on Craigslist and anything is possible...

yeah and if you go lookin at c-list you are gonna get a **** job. trust me i know. have you done a SAS.. have you paid for one.

BIGGREEN2 is a fabricator... why dont you email him and find out how much he would charge.

trust me you arent getting quality work from a SHOP for under 5k you arent adding in parts and labor. you know how much a GOOD shop charges for labor for custom fab? They arent gonna give it away. Do you know how many hours are involved in a swap?

dont argue with someone that has been there and done that... when you havent

and the truck ISNT done, still got a drivetrain swap, and more suspension work to do.

I haven't? Do you know my bank info also?

Coming from the guy with leafs and no front driveshaft.

Have a great one, I'm not going to argue with you.

Don't listen to me, guess I don't even own a truck right, or haven't owned one...

Cheers.

read whole post before you make a post. If the truck has no motor or transmision... why would it need a driveshaft. And whats wrong with leaf springs im pretty sure ford used leaf springs longer than you've been alive.

post pictures of your SAS 97-03 F150 and a bill of payment. This is not the same as SAS on a pre 97. Theres alot of differences between the two.

Dont come in a post something thats not true. You act like you know everything but havent posted anything to prove that you know anything. Im pretty sure IF the OP comes back to read the thread he is going to ask

a.) The argueably best fabricator in Florida Farmboy Fabrications (bigreen2)
b.) someone thats done the swap and has proof that has done the swap.

BTW what does you owning a truck have to do with anything? It means nothing.
