Yeah, for coilovers and a 1 ton conversion, even doing it yourself and finding deals on used parts, $5,000 is out of reach. More like 8-10k.
On the very low/simplistic side:
Dual rate coilovers (2, with 4 springs) - $1350
1 ton axles (1 steer D60 Ford, 1 rear) - $1000
Steering - $500
DOM Link Material (w/joints) - $800
Rear leafs - $600
Driveshafts - $500
$4750
These are bare necessities, estimated at less than what you will likely pay, just to show the big parts already put you in the $5000 ballpark, not to mention all of the unseen items that will nickel and dime you to no end. Brake lines, rear shocks, stem/eye conversion, hardware, misc. steel, front driveshaft adapter, possible minor rebuilds on the axles...trust me the list goes on and on. Not trying to scare anyone away from the swap, as it is WELL worth it, I just feel that too many people are overzealous of the idea of doing a quality/SAFE conversion on the cheap.
Rize is a cost effective way to safely go big on that truck...depending on your driving habits.

if your looking for a deal on a 12" rize i know of a couple kits for 3k NEW. i just bought one. theres only a couple left. if your interested PM me. ill see what i can do.
this is the front only though
this is the front only though
that shouldnt even be a thought if your running a 40" tire haha, sorry to sound mean but if your looking for good gas milage lifted trucks with big tires is not your cup of tea haha, its about 11 - 12.
so your replacing your current setup with a rize 12inch??? That would be bad *** pm me and let me know about the front set up bc only thing i would need to do with the rear is the block and shocks for now until i upgrade . Then my drive shafts as well
Trust me i'm not worried about the gas mileage that much i've had much bigger trucks with a lot bigger tires, i was just wondering if i should even worry about driving it everyday.
haha i dont know yet, i havent decided. im thinking i might keep my tires for cruising around and see if i can stuff a 46" Michelin in there for shows. but i dont know yet. i dont have any of the stuff on the truck to check it out.
