Suspension Lift + Leveling Kit ?

Why is this not recommended? I drive an 07 2wd Screw and am planning on getting a 6" fabtech lift, 20" rims (just ordered em), and 35" tires. I was also thinking about getting a 2 or 2.5" leveling kit, but the guy at the shop said not to. Why is that? What would you guys recommend?

trust me don't get it..I added the level to my 6", the ride is bad, you need a steering stabilizer and then you have to raise the back up with blocks. Its just a whole world of annoying.

Would there be a better way to get it higher? I'm getting the 6" suspension lift kit for sure. I know I can do a body lift, but then I have to worry about where my exhaust is, fender gaps, etc. right?

OK ride does not change after adding a leveling kit onto a 6inch lift or any lift. I added a 2inch leveling kit onto my 6inch skyjacker lift and it had been perfectly fine ever since almost 2 1/2 yrs ago. Plus i also have a body lift on top of that

So adding a 2.5" leveling kit onto the 6" suspension lift kit I'm getting would be fine?

If you already want bigger than 6 inches, just get a bigger lift to start with. Skip the 6 and go with an 8 inch suspension lift.

x2...I'm currently dealing with this right now. I wish I would have went with the 8" Rize. You'll be happier in the long run.

I think I'll just go with a 6" suspension lift and get a 2.5" leveling kit if I decide I want to go bigger. How much stress would that put on my CV joints? What problems would a leveling kit cause?

premature wear on your ball joints. tie rods. etc..... but get an alignment as soon as you put it on as well. I have had mine for 2 1/2 years and its great. I wish i would have gone with a bigger lift though but cant really change that so oh well. Just make sure you really do want a 6inch bc if you are considering an 8inch then wait a little bit longer to get it

Thanks, I'll search for him. And when I really think about it, I don't want to have to spend the extra money on an 8" lift, extra money on bigger tires, and extra money on new gears. I'll stick with the 6" suspension lift + leveling kit. And maybeee a body lift if I do later decide I want 37's, but probably not.
