Front 1" higher after leveling kit?

I just had a 2" leveling kit installed on my '07 F150 4x4 or what I thought was a 2" kit. My receipt and box indicated 2" and I guess I should have measured the parts! Anyway, I got 'em put in and it lifted the front what seemed to be more than I expected. After I got home I measured the front and the rear and noticed the front is 1" over the rear. Any recommendations on how I should fix or what the problem could be? I ordered the AS kit off over Ebay...

Have you gotten it aligned yet, if not that might be it. My 2.5AS put my 08 a little high in the front. Others have had results much like your coming out a little higher than expected. If you dont like the look you can always install an AAL or a 3" block.

I have the bilstein 5100's at the 2" setting on my 04 and it sits perfect. If I remember reading an old post right anything after 2006 a 2" kit makes the front sit higher up due to a change

I have an '06 that I just put the 2" AS in, and the front is now about an 1" higher than the rear. The alignment didn't really change the height. I have the Pro Comp AAL and I'm planning on putting them in tonight. That should leave me level or slightly high in the back with added towing/hauling capacity.

Appreciate the input. I just called Auto Spring thinking maybe I rec'd a 2.5" kit in a 2" box but he didn't think that was the case. I should have measured first! Anyway he suggested adding a 3" block to the rear for a simple fix but I was worried that might effect the rear axle or drive train? Or also it looks like a lot of people are adding a leaf spring? What do you guys think?

Adding a 3" block or a leaf spring will not cause any harm to your drive train. The general rule to help you decide is as follows: If you tow/haul on a regular basis go with the leaf spring, it will help you there, but it will stiffen your ride. If you dont tow/haul much and want to maintain factory ride/feel, throw a 3" block in there.

10/4, thanks!! I do pull a Yamaha Rhino from time to time but that's about it! I'll probably just add a leaf to the rear. Has anyone done this and is it easy? About the most I've ever done is changed brake pads!

Yep, I added pro comp add-a-leafs to my truck. You will need an impact gun (or a breaker bar) to get the big bolts that hold the leaf pack in place loose. Other than that, a 13mm deep socket to get the bolt in the middle of the leafs out (may need to cut it off if they are rusted) and that's it. I had never done it before either, the first side took me about an hour and a half, and the other side took about 20 minutes. Take your time, and print out some instructions. Google Add-a-leaf installation instructions. That's what I did and printed some out that helped walk me through the process.

Better yet, here is a link to the instructions that I used: http://www.skyjacker.com/image/search/pdf/F46D.pdf

If you're not interested in increasing load capacity with an add-a-leaf, lift shackles are another option instead of a taller block.

I have a 2007 FX4 and I experienced the same thing with the AS 2" lift. I replaced my rear blocks with the ReadyLift 3" blocks which have the factory bump stops and the slight angle to keep the drive shaft in line. I also added 2000lb SuperSpring helpers to keep my truck from sagging when I tow my boat which added about 1/2" of lift to the rear.

If money is a factor, AAL is a much cheaper way to keep the truck from sagging when towing, but make sure you buy the long ones because the short ones will have a rougher ride.

My truck has a 1" rake back to front when empty and it sits perfectly level when towing.
