Those with ProComp Coilovers

I understand that they are provided in the stage 2 kit to achieve the 6" of lift on the front, but if I understand correctly they can be adjusted for an additional 2" of lift to create 8" total in the front correct ?

What kind of sagging have those running them experienced over time ? Have they held up well ?

I plan to replace my BDS strut/2" spacer kit with these coilovers and will be ordering them tomorrow to do so. I figure the spring load rating on these has to be much higer/stiffer than the stock coils which the BDS lift uses in conjunction with its longer struts.

I am already starting to experience sagging/settleing in the front coils after putting the replacement bumper on and hope these will get the front end back up there.

Thanks,

Kev

Good question. I don't recall seeing any posts complaining about the Pro COmp Coilovers settleing or sagging.

I don't think they will sag that much, and if they ever did I would be positive it would be many miles down the road. Especially if your going to crank them up I doubt they would sag, ride quality may deminish a bit after cranking them. I'm not sure though as I have no experience with pro comp coilovers, just cranked coilovers. You might contact sonny at down south motorsports to see what they can do for you. I'm running 18" springs which means I dont have to crank them and you get an extra 2-2.5" of lift. You might also get in contact with sbchris, a member on here, he has had two sets of custom coilovers made.

The only reason I suggest this "custom" approach is because of the bumper, and the fact that the platinum rides like a caddy and I would hate for a cranked coil to ruin that for you. King, Fox, and sway-a-way (in chris' case) can all make you a coilover to suit your needs.

Thanks for the responses. The pro-comp ones im getting at cost so the price just really cant be beat which is why I havn't looked into any of the other options. I did however order some custom rear reservoir shocks from Bilstein

guess im gonna just give the pro-comps a shot and if all else fails I can get the custom ones on down the road.
