97 F150 4x2 v6 lifted steering problems
I have a 97 f150 2wd v6 supercab xlt with 2.5" coil spacers in the front. After about a year of having the coil spacers on it, it has caused my ***** joints (upper and lower) to go bad, my tie-rods to go bad, and both the pitman arm and idler arms to go bad. I am about to get 3" rough country lift spindles to take strain off my upper and lower ball joints. I still need a drop pitman arm so my inner tie rod ends will stop rubbing/digging into my frame everytime I turn. Where can I get a drop pitman arm and a good idler arm to fix the rubbing/digging into the frame? Any info. would be a great help!

Ouch man a 2.5"?? Your issue is that you need aftermarket upper control arms. That spacer is putting too much pre-load on your suspension. I would get that thing off and out of there A.S.A.P. otherwise you need new control arms. If you get the lift spindles and take that spacer out then everything will be A-okay! You can even put a 1.5" daystar spacer on top of your coils in conjunction with the spindles, but your suspension just cant handle that 2.5".
I hope I helped you bud. Hopefully you get it all figured out, but that 2.5" spacers has got to go!
