Done for a while....

Thanks to those guys that helped make this second lift kit transformation possible. New front and rear suspension with all the bells and whistles...

Big thanks to Trev for the kit and Chris at sway-away for another set of one off customs!

Only crappy picture I have at the warehouse before my camera was lifted.

Awesome bro.......I couldn't think of a greater guy to have aquired my lift! The truck looks beautiful!

Does she feel a lot higher than before? Put the overloads back in or add a small block?

Enjoy it Chris!

Yea, I'm waiting for a double deep socket to fit over those alignment bolts on the leafs. I bought some longer bolts from national that make putting the leafs back together a snap. I'll cut them once the over loads are back in.

I think I'm sitting around 9.5-10ish. I'll crank it a little more once we get out of winter. The rear leafs matched with the sway-aways are perfect. I also custom fab'd some steering stabilizers onto the kit, the truck rides great now!!!

I had to get a new rear d/s and a new front d/s. I think I might drive too fast.... haha!!! The front is for the snow season.

Later Trev! Thanks again!

I will get more of them this weekend once the storm passes. Some of them you can't see like the gears, detroit, valve body etc...

Hope you are not OCD. Keeping that thing clean is going to be.... impossible. I gave up on washing my truck all the time. My tires are doughnuts compared to those and mine get rocks and everything everywhere. Good luck! Looks amazing though.

Very Nice, Very Nice!

Do the Tow mirrors help with the bigger lift? I have pondered on getting them several times cause I can't see a damn thing when cars are right next to me.

The truck is pretty dirty in that picture. I just got back from driving in light snow if you can believe it, the camera lies hahaha!!! Keeping it clean is hardddddd!!!

Matt, I honestly couldn't drive this truck without the mirrors and the lift. The big mirrors might have been my best mod. The bottom convex mirror lets you see from the door handle on the truck all the way out to the shoulder or center divide. I have not looked over my shoulder since I put these guys on the truck if that says anything about them. They are simply amazing! No more problems with those little Miata's driving next to you.

Spec's are

Rize lift kit, custom painted black
Custom 9-10 inch National Leaf springs with shims to clock the rear end 2.5 degree's
Custom Sway-away coil-overs with 18" springs and piggy backs by Chris at sway away. Cranked a little bit but not that much.
37 inch toyo's, I know they look small...
Custom double cardan front drive shaft, think quiet when driving in the snow in 4hi at 50-60mph
Custom aluminum PST rear driveshaft, Thanks BAD DRVR
BlueOvalChips Valve body with a custom spring and DD pan, very nice firm shifts and less slipping.
Detroit true trac and Yukon 4.88s
Custom fab'd dual steering stabilizers
Amp steps
Re-routed exhaust tips, you can see them at an angle by the top left of the tire.

and that is about it.

Loving the tuck now. I just wish I had a turbo on my motor or had a turbo diesel under hood. Driving up around 8K feet + kills my power. I'm not diggin superchargers as they don't produce their own atmosphere at altitude. I do like the idea of a smaller decent sized turbo, maybe a t60 to give me 8psi at 8K+ feet. I wouldn't be looking for killer power numbers, just normal power up in the mountains like the big diesels. It is nice to drive a big truck without the 1 ton weight of driving a bigger diesel. The turbo is a pipe dream, heh!

$4-5k and 3 weeks or so with your truck and Spyder will build you a custom turbo kit to your specs. That's what I was quoted when I talked to them. The trick is they are in NC, which is close enough for me but not so much for you.
