raptor/regular f150 frontend swap..possible??
Where is the wider track width coming from on the front-end of the Raptor? Obviously upper and lower control arms, which means a new knuckle, but what about the cv half shafts? Are they just longer or also thicker, because spline count is constant throughout all F-150 4x4s (at least in '10 and '11 model years), which implies same thickness of the half shafts? All I saw was hill control equipped and non-hill control equipped? Any other F-150 models have hill descent control besides the Raptor?
Regarding the Total Chaos Upper control arms, Ford upper control arms are $170 ea ($340 for the pair), but I saw those on eBay for $700 for the pair. No argument that Chromoly is made to take a beating, but I thought the argument was it cost less, does anybody know of a place where the Total Controls are less than the Ford stock price of $340 (available at fordparts.com)?
