Can adjustable shocks be adjusted after they're installed?

Can adjustable shocks be adjusted after they're installed?

Like the Bilstein 5100 series....
Could you crank on the adjusting nut after they've been installed, if you wanted to raise/lower the ride height?
Could it be done in place if you compressed the springs a little?

I don't need them just yet...
but Bilstein is running a 25% off sale till the 30th of this month!
Sux to be short on funds when there's a sale...

No, they can't. Only ones that could do that would be a top end shock like a Fox or King that has a large nut on the spring for that purpose.

The Bilsteins have a ring that holds the spring saddle in place and I highly doubt you could get to the spring to compress it, much less enough to move that ring.

Yep the Blisteins and springs would have to come off...

and you would need an alignment.
