I do think these are a bit ridiculous, but trucks that big are not uncommon here around South Arkansas. We have mud bog races all the time and people build them for a purpose. Heck, the local mud pit had $7,000 in payout last month. With all that said, I really don't think these trucks are anymore ridiculous than people putting mud tires on a 2wd to run around town in. Everybody knows those trucks will never hit a serious mud hole. People just want a certain look and that is the look they prefer.

I appreciate what's put into these trucks but when you get high enough to where you have to relocate the heads and tails to be street legal, that's going overboard.

the irony in the picture of the wheel?

read what it says on the Rock Ring... "Rockwell 2.5 Ton" now count the lugs its 8 Lug stock axle, Rockwells are six lugs. You can also tell clearing by looking at the axle. Rockwells have square tubes and a huge diff, much different then a Dana axle.

If you look at the picture you will see the original rockwell bolt pattern. The 8 Lugs where drilled out for 8x170mm ford axle.

I think what was stated above was right about it must be a florida thing. I love the look of a truck that high up...not very practical usually but everyone likes a monster truck. To add though..the re-located hedlights are pretty trashy looking on a truck you invested 10G in the suspension. I say screw it. no inspections in FL. If the cop wants to write you a ticket, just take the ticket and sport it proudly. "I got a ticket because my headlights are 6ft off the ground" frame it lol
