2001 F150 Supercrew Shocks

Hey guys, I am in need of some new shocks for my pickup and was wondering what you guys would recommend. I am leaning toward Ranchos but I have no clue on which ones. Any recommendation would be great.

Thanks

I'm also curious of this. Also have an 01 Supercrew 4x4 with no lift. What replacement shock gives the best bang for the buck?

I ended up getting Monroe reflex shocks from Oreily and they are good. I would recommend them. I think it was close to $200 for all four. It made the pickup feel brand new.

Bilstiens are the best, but any quality aftermarket shock will be an improvement over the OEM shocks.

From what I've researched the Bilstein 5100's would be a great choice, but are these only suitable if I have a 4"-6" lift? Or will these work on my truck with no lift?

Also, are shocks easy to install on our trucks? I can't find a tech article with a write up on this.

I am also interested in the Bilstein 5100 shocks. Can these be used on my stock truck. As mentionded above, it was noted on the website that to use on trucks with a 3 to 6-inch suspension lift.

I know they are available for my zero lift Expedition...would expect the same for an F150. Everything I read points toward the Bilsteins as being the best bang for the buck. I can't wait to get mine!

You just need to find the right 5100s for your 0 lift f150. Those shocks listed above are the wrong ones.

Anyone who wants Bilsteins for their 97-03 f150 and have no lift, or just a body lift, need the standard OEM replacement shocks, not the 5100's. The 5100's are only for suspension lifted trucks on the 97-03's... They sell the standard OEM replacements, you just need to find them.
