found something on tundra forums

and i find it interesting if i comprehended it correctly. (very good chance i didnt)

As for lifts are concerned....most are right when they talk about the function vs. practicality of a 3" "performance lift" ie shock lift vs a bracket lift. The bracket lift is more looks than function, although getting a better approach angle with a bracket lift is invaluable sometimes! However there is no reason why you cant do both! You can get your travel back with a pair of UCA and a good set of shocks. I wouldn't spend the extra money on the Pro comp or Fabtech upgraded lifts...the basic lift with another shock will be the best route.
thats what i found didn't make sense at all. by bracket she means subframe doesn't she?

and dont worry im not the trader, trying to help out somebody else on here whose leaving the blue oval.

Bracket I think means body lift. Basically saying you can have a body lift and a leveling kit to equal a lift similar to what a lift kit does, I think.

nah what they are saying is, well how im reading it.

Suspension lift = bracket lift do to the fact that brackets drop down certain parts.

shock lift = leveling kit.

they are saying the "bracket lift" is less functional that a leveling kit.

now the guy that posted that needs a swift kit in the nuts. Its rediculous to eve speculate what a 3" lift would do to front angles, aftermarket UCA's dont do anything to help CV angles. which with a 3" leveling kit or (shock lift) would be outragous.

some people have no right to speak about suspension
