suspension

I have been hearing alot about f150's with f250 suspensions is it true and if so how do you know if its on your truck???

Are you thinking about the older 7700 series? Or maybe keyways or torsion bars for leveling purposes?

Reguardless neither of those options would apply to your 2005.

To back mdhawkin, in '97 & '98 you could get what was called a "Light Duty" F250 which was a rebadged F150 with beefed suspension and a 7 lug wheel. Then later it was re-introduced as the F150 7700 which also came with a 7 lug wheel. It still had IFS in the front not a solid axle.

also the heavy half tons (7700) also had thicker guage metal frames

If you are just talking about an easy way to identify whether or not you have the 7700 lb. package, the weird 7 lug wheels are the easiest way to tell.

Or even better, look at the GVRW on the door jam sticker :o
