Painted calipers/drums

Bought that Duplicolour paint kit at crappy tire for $24.

It goes on kinda watery but it thickens as it drys. Put on 3 coats in about 2-3 hrs. A buddy helped me paint them. Part of the drums is not painted. That was my bad. I didn't think that part would be seen so I will paint those parts while I'm on vacation for the next 2 weeks. They look great though, nice affordable mod.

Thanks, I finished the rest of the drums so that now all the parts of it that are visible are now painted. Will take some pics once I unpack the cam, was on vacation.

I'd have painted the inside of the brake pads black (the drums you're gonna fix so 'nuff said on them) also time to paint the suspesnsion, that rust is killing me

and can we get a full truck shot???? thanks

I always do my calipers and rotors in black but I may try red one of these days on the expy

I hear ya, I see that rust and I get this OCD itch to just go nuts under there with some black spray bombs

The full truck shots are in this thread of my drop shackle mod.

This just gave me an idea... I'm a big Kawasaki fan... some lime green (Kawi green) calipers might be pretty cool on my black F150... hmmmm...

Is the duplicolour paint the brand name or is that the type of paint you need to paint the calipers? I'm thinking about doing mine the same colour as my truck.

Duplicolour is the name of the kit, I guess its made by or with the duplicolour paint brand. So far I've only seen 5 colours so not sure if you can find one that matches your truck but a paint shop may be able to mix some up for you?

Besides Duplicolor, there is a really good two part epoxy. I don't recall the name of the epoxy, even though that is what I used. It works great! Search brake caliper paint on ebay.

I used it last week. I used the red. Thought about doing the brakes on my race bike butjust got tired of too many projects. Stuff worked really well.
