6" Skyjacker Suspension System Kit

I am getting ready to order it either tonight or tomorrow. Anyone have experience with this kit? I am having my tires put on tomorrow to my new **** Cepek DC-1 18x9 rims with 5" backspacing. I will be running 33x12.5 **** Cepek FCII tires. I am also looking at getting the Pro-comp traction bars, anyone used these? I have a 2007 F150 FX4 regular cab, flare side short box, should look pretty good.

Looks like I can get the lift kit with shocks on ebay from topgunzperformance for around $2400 shipped, is that a good price. I went with the skyjacker because they use a single peice (no spacer) front strut and the rear rise comes from the rear leaf springs rather than the blocks. I daily drive my truck so I don't need any problems from spacers. I also take my truck on long distant trips, so being dependable is #1 priority. Gas mileage sucks already with the Roushcharger on in and the bigger tires.

So, the reason for this post is to share what I am doing and to see what others experiences are with a similar set-up and possible a cheaper price. Topgunz seems to be on top of things when it comes to competitive pricing, but you never know.

I saw one installed on an episode of Trucks. It looked like a good kit. However, I think 33's are gonna look too small. Most people run 35's with a 6 inch lift.

The 33's will be changed when they wear out. I just got these late last year and am not going to try and sell them to get a 2" larger tire. Plus, what are you guys doing about the speedo/odo being off? I have the roush flashed ECU and don't want to buy a tuner and a tune just to correct my speedo.

It will only be off by a few mph's if that. I went from 32 factory to 35 and im less than 4 mph's off according to garmin. Who knows you might become MORE accurate depending on how far the spedo was off in the first place.

I was very close to ordering the Skyjacker lift! One of the biggest selling factors is they offer the system with the full replacement rear springs!

I ended up going Fab as I got a good deal on the Dirtlogic kit!

Good luck with it and be sure to post some pics when you get it installed!

Cheers

Yes i do have it. I have put it through a beating before and it is still holding up too its name. I have not had one problem what so ever with the lift itself. I bought this truck from a buddy of mine who had this installed on it already. I think he said the Ford dealership put the lift on it so that means after 40k and almost 4 years everything is fine and holding up. The only thing im going to be doing is replacing the shocks all around for the same exact ones or the adjustable ride like stiffer and etc. The only parts showing ne wear is my skid plate after all the beatings lol so im gonna re paint it when i get home on r.r and replace the pads between my leaf springs. But ne ways i havent heard anything wrong with the lift itself it just seems alot of guys around here are going with Fabtech/Procomp/Rize.

Well, I ordered it with the hydraulic rear shocks since my truck sees mostly highway and light offroad. I got it shipped for $2200, I think I got a pretty good deal.

That shouldnt take long knowing you, there are still blackmarks in front of my house.
Or just sell the tires and buy some bigger ones

LOL, that was fun! And thanks for not leaving them in my front of my house

These tires are a little more expensive though than the stock ones when I did that

I have the SKYJACKER 6

I didn't do the install, but you can look at my truck *(2002 Supercrew) and see what it looks like. Cost me about $2200 installed a few years ago, if that tell you anything on the price.
The tires in the photo are 34x14.50x16 MT's.
This tires was discontinued, and I put a 305x16x70 on to suppliment while I waited to add 35's.

The 33 or (305x16) does look small and thin. I am very UNPLEASED with them and currently plotting to upgrade to 38's and a bigger lift in the next few weeks.

I agree, 35's fit best on the skyjacker 6".
I wish you luck and success on your truck!
