Question Rough country, or Tuff Country?... that is the question

Hey guys! So I have decided to finally put a 6" lift on my truck. I have my eyes on two brands... Rough and Tuff country.

Pro's...Con's? Is it worth it for me to spend the extra $700 on the Tuff country? I would MUCH rather only drop $1400 instead of $2000.

Lemme know what ya think!

Cant comment on the 6" but I can say my RC leveling kit was great stuff and their instructions are very detailed and nice. On top of that it was cheap and of great quality, my opinion of course.

No clue if that helps you any haha.

Why those 2 brands? I know you can get a Pro Comp off ebay for like $1400 and they have a much better rep than either one of the brands you listed around here.

How's life at Osan? I was there a couple years ago for about a month renovating the hospital there. Stayed at the Young Chung Hotel right off the strip. It was a great time. Gotta love them juicy girls trying to steal all your money.....

The 6" RC is fairly new (in comparison to fabtech and pc), doesn't make it a bad kit. I've been researching the heck out of these, and I have yet to find a negative comment that is based on anything factual. Usually just opinions because they have another kit that they love. Which is ok, but that doesn't make the RC a bad kit. Best advice is download install kits for each and compare them. Then decide. New players in the game often take established designs, make their version and bring it out cheaper, which in turn will usually drop the prices of the old ones. =good for us the consumer. The RC is a complete kit, nothing else to buy, with great customer support. If you go with RC, they are running print ads in magazines for $1200, mention that and hopefully they will match it. Plus your buying from the manufacturer, not a third party that may not be an authorized seller. Hope that helps. Good luck.

Great, glad to hear it fasteddy. What wheel and tire combo did you go with. I'm looking at the eagle 114 and toyo 325-65-18, but I'm a little afraid those tires might be too wide and rub at full lock going over bumps. My last truck did with this same combo but they were 33" murders with only spacers. Also, I like the tires to be "flush" with the body line of the truck looking down the side. Thanks for the reply.

well thanks for the advice so far guys! I will probably wind up getting the RC.

I have gone thru just about EVERY manufacturers install instructions and honestly they all seem to be about equal to each other for the most part.

I was mostly just concerned with quality is all. If any one else has anything to say about either let me know, i still have about 6 weeks until i can afford wither one.

Looks awesome fasteddy, so no rubbing at all? I see you got the monster wheels, what offset did you go with? I started considering these wheels also, but again I worry about rubbing or sticking out too far. Thanks.

No not any rubbing issues at all. I went with the -12 offset with a 4.53'' backspacing, they do stick out a little but it's not bad at all, I will take a couple of pics here in a few.
