it would help if we knew what year your truck was.....

I can speak for the 04-08 model and say that you might have to do a small amount of trimming to the corners of the front valance and the rear inner portion of the front flares if you have any. Also, you may have to hammer the metal back at the rear inner part of the front well after the flare is cut away. I' don't think you should have to do much though. I run a 38x15.5 tire on a 20x10 w/ 4.5" bs on my 08 w/ an 8" Rize which really measures 8.5". I had to do the trimming I talked about and the only rub I get is when my wheel is when I'm doing a sharp 90 degree turn and hit a major bump. I'm getting ready to switch rims to a 6" bs and know that I won't have any issues once I do. It will be tight(within 1/4"-1/2") to the springs at ful crank but I'm rarely at full crank so who cares. I think you'll be just fine with the setup you want and only a small amount of trimming.

yes you should be able to with 9" of lift with a 97-03 or 04-08. you might have slight rubbing depending on your wheel set up but they should fit.

Yeah comboyup has 38x15.5x18's but I think that's on a 18x10 w/ either 6" bs or 4.5" bs. She'd know better than I would what she's running. Ior has a 6"susp.+ 3" bl+ 2" or 2 1/2" leveler and is only running 37x13.5's so it does't really help this situation. You should be fine.

i would think you would be fine, the only i would wonder about is the width of the tire, thats a decent width 14.5, im sure you will hve some rubbing, but nothing some trimming cant help

sorry forgot its an 01. I was more worried bout it being 38.5 inches instead of 38 cause i know the 38 rub some the front valence and read fender well have been cleared already for previous tires.

well, on the 97-03 models, you have to slightly trim the lower control arms as well. this is no big deal, and poses no safety issues. you're still going to rub the tie rods, and maybe the torsion bars at full lock.

you have too much backspacing on those rims. you should only be rubbing 4 5/8'' backspacing max w/ the suspension lift. this is probably going to make the rubbing worse.

i would be more worried about your wheel specs being wrong.

I think you can squeeze another half inch in there, I'd be more worried about width than height. That 14.5" will rub on the tie rods after you're done trimming the valence and control arms.
