went offroading...something's wrong.

went mudding tonight and got stuck up to the frame, had to pull the front end kind of from the side to walk it out, and now when i get up to about 60mph, the darn thing shakes like h*ll...is this normal? do i just need an alignment or did i mess up something serious??

when you say you pulled from the side do you mean you pulled from about a 90º angle to pivot the truck around?

i got pulled like that last wednesday but i wasn't stuck to the frame just on a small slope with slippery mud so i had no steering but have no problems from being pulled but the ruts you were in might have messed up your alignment. just let go of the wheel and see if you truck goes straight or not. i have had a very slight shake in my steering wheel since my lift and big tires, its not bad but at about 65 mph it goes away

Probably just alignment. Easy fix

an alignment is the place to start. if something bent that has caused your alignment to throw off, a competent tech will be able to identify what it is.

Check the obvious first. Look for mud stuck to the inside of the rims. Clean the rims and tires very thoroughly. Also clean the driveshaft very well.

OHHHH man I didn't even think about that (I'm new to this), and it's funny you mentioned that b/c last night I powerwashed the truck and thought I had gotten the rims nice and clean, but it was dark and I couldn't see. But yeah after I washed the truck the vibration was way worse, which I thought was weird, so it's probably just mud on the inside of my wheels.

I'll get it cleaned up and have a report for you tonight haha if that's all it is, I'm gonna feel like such an idiot.

Yeah. First thing to always check is mud in the rims. I've had mud in my rims so bad that it felt like it was shaking my doors loose.

New thought. Could be your muffler bearings. Might want to get those checked out to.

Jk. : )

No muffler bearing would not do this.I think he must have cracked the headlight fluid tank.He lost the fluid and the front of the truck is too light now. LOL

No no no. I know what it is. It is the blinker fluid. once you break that liquid nitrogen transfer tubing then your truck will never run right again. Lol
