Well it looks like those two air tanks i made up are about 1/2 inch too big. cant get them to fit under the body. Sooooooo im going to downgrade to some 6" pipe to make some more airtanks.

if you think about it, could you snap a couple pics of your crossmember notch?

for some reason i thought you'd have to notch it more than that for the DS to clear, but im probably wrong.

i need to notch mine soon and might as well notch it big enough to lay out...

Since its just welded to the top of the frame and those "gussets" are just too small. If you wanted to go with that look you should used some small quarter inch tubing to use on both sides for strength. Or something like how I did on my F150....

Well ive been pretty busy. Getting powdercoating quotes.. Cleaning everything. And I think ive determined what colors i am going to go with. Silver and Black. They have what they call a chrome color... but its basically a silver. So i had to choose a color that went well with silver. They didnt have any orange color that could come close to matching my "Molten Orange." The black i picked out looks dripping wet. Put a little chrome next to and it will pop.

Also i found out in order to powdercoat you have to remove everything rubber or plastic. That includes all your seals in your rear end, front hubs, driveshaft, Brake calipers, 4 link bars, Everything.

Reason for removing all of this is because after they apply the powder they bake it at 400 degrees.

Ive got everything apart and im gonna sandblast it lightly again. between parts ive orderd with powdercoating on them already... and the wd-40 i sprayed on everything i blasted to keep it from rusting, its gotta be good and clean.

Parts are piling up!
