Yeah you might be able to get an RCX lift or some cheap-o lift and install it yourself but that's not gonna leave you but $750-$1000 dlooars for rims/tires. That'd get you a used set of 35's and 18's. You've gotta increase your budget by another $1500 to be any type of realistic about getting a better lift(Procomp/Fabtech), new rims/tires and install. I've read that you can use your OEM wheels with the Fabtech even though they don't tell you that. A member on here has done it. The Fabtech is the more expensive kit but you can still get one including shipping for $1800 if you find a sale. Install will run you $500-$800 and tires will run you another $1000 unless you buy used. On the flip side you might be able to get a Procomp for about $1300 including shipping, some used 18's and 35's for under $1000 and do the install yourself. At that point you could sell your 20's and be under your $2000 budget. You could also get the install done and be a couple hundred $$$ over budget if you sold your 20's. You might talk to a local shop about your budget and see what they can come up with for you too.

Nothing cheap about lifting your truck though man

yeah... i've figured that out. lol....

Well... here is my deal. I am willing to sell my 20s and probably will. I figure I'll get ~$800 for those (does that sound reasonable?)... I can buy the rims I want for $591. The tires, BFG KM2s are $1116. My dad will get the tires... When I said under $2K I meant for buying the lift and having it installed, not including rims and tires... I know it will cost almost 2K alone for rims and tires...

So basically all I am worrying about is coming up with the money for the rims and lift and install for the lift...

The lift I am looking at - ya... I know its a cheap one, but I read a good review and have heard from people who have it that its a good lift... is the RCX 6". I don't see a problem with the 2 separate crossmembers. I would like to understand why this could be a problem, if it could potentially be one - as I have heard its not preferred. But I have heard positive reviews and feedback from people who have it, but I would like to hear some input from you all too if you don't mind. Thank you-

I have heard good things about the RCX but I think it just boiled down to the fact that not many people have it on this site and that it is a 2 piece instead of 1. Most people go with either the Pro Comp or the Fabtech so that is what people recommend. It's unknown territory and a victim of speculation is what I'm trying to say. People just assume that it can't be good because of the low price and because they don't think it is as structurally sound as others. Notice I didn't say that the RCX was a cheap lift in my last post. I would think that since you're not doing any crazy offroading or mudding that the RCX would be great for you. Do a little more searching and maybe start a new thread asking about opinions on the RCX. You should be able to get that kit, install and your wheels for like $2300.

800 is way too much to expect for the factory 20's....600 at most with brand new tires, and I have heard the RCX isnt quite a simple install as the PC or the Fabtech...theres cutting and drilling that isnt done with those 2

ok... thanks for the replies guys! That is what I feel as well, its just a victim of speculation more or less... but I will go and start a new thread on this one.

Ya when I did a spreadsheet for everything I put the rims in for 600... but I would be selling them with the current tires most likely.

Thanks again guys-

i ended up getting over 1000 bucks on ebay for my 20's with tires and sensors.

i would say you could get an easy 800 bucks for the rims/tires. pass on the rcx lift and go with a procomp
