Question changed my mind on bilsteins for level

i just got my new rubber for summer, so i was going to move adjustment on front bilsteins to the 2" setting, but realized they add preload for height and i don't want it to ride any stiffer than it already is. Is anyone running a leveling kit with bilsteins on stock setting? And what is the best leveling kit/spacer? I know, this topic has been beaten to death? thanks

The Bilsteins wont make it feel like its running leaf springs in front, the difference isn't that different at all really.

went to my mechanic, he said someone just went back to the factory setting because it rode like crap, said he's getting a spacer kit instead...I'm thinking that is the way to go, just dont know which kit to get

Well Autospring and Hell Bent are the leaders in coil overs. I love my Bilsteins.

While they technically add preload, the ride does not change. All that happens when you change it to the 2" setting is you are moving the spring up on the shock.
I would NOT using a spacer with bilsteins, even at factory height settings.
The bilsteins have more travel than factory shocks, they have more droop. They are designed to not allow the suspension droop far enough to put things in a bind. Adding a spacer as well as the bilsteins will allow the suspension too much droop and likely bind the upper ball joints and CV joints.

But it's your truck...

i bought the 5100s from topguncustomz, they have two settings. which setting would i put it on to keep it the stock height. i was told the lower of the two and that is where i put the clip. i took it to the dealership to have them put the front shocks on, it comes back sitting nose high. they told me they didn't touch the clip. so is it the lower setting or the higher setting? help.............
