I don't think there is a verdict to be honest. Only 2 people w/ Rancho's posted and they have different measurements w/ the sae size tire. Different by 7/8"! You can't blame that big of a difference on tires either. Either one of them can't read a tape measure or Rancho doesn't have a consistent lift.

i posted this before but no one believed me so i will say it again. it seems that guys who have xlt's gain more lift that guys who had fx4's. but that does figure up in the end, a fx4 does sit about an inch higher so if copenhagen got 4 inches exactly and i got 5'ish, that would make sense.

well i think it has to do with variation of ride height in the 4x4 trucks. if rancho lifted a xlt, like my truck exactly 4 inches, then a guy who had a fx4, who's truck sat an inch higher than mine to begin with, he would only get 3 inches of lift. so what i'm saying if they would have to have different shocks for certain models of truck, which would not be cost effective, 1 shock for all models and you get at least 4 inches of lift. i know that rancho does the same thing for the the new sierra/silverado trucks too, they under advertise the height because of the variations, crew cab max to regular cab v6

I can kind of agree with your theory that XLTs could possibly get more lift than an FX4, but that would be from the starting point... the final dimension should still be the same. If you started off an inch lower than an FX4 and you got 5", and and FX4 got 4" then you should end up with the same measurement. But there is almost an 1" difference after the install, which would mean we got 4" of lift and you got 6" of lift.
The variation has to be coming from something else. I really doubt its from the Rancho lift. As stated earlier in this thread, its difficult to get accurate answers from this taking in account all the possible variations. Another variation that comes to my mind is fender flares... since that's what the measurements are being taken to. XLT's dont have them.... how do the pocket flares compare to the ones found on FX4's or Lariats. Would a measurement to the bottom of the mirror be more accurate?
I haven't had the opportunity to park next to an F-150 with a procomp or fabtech 6" lift installed, but I've passed a few on the road and I think the front end sits a little higher than mine... probably like 2" higher!
