I need some 5150's. Don't care about the promo, just trying to find the right ones for my truck. I want new shocks in the rear. 5150 series. I have the Fabtech 6" lift on a 2004 Ford F150 4x4. Any help ?

If I buy the Bilstein 5100's for my stock height 2004 FX4, can I install them myself without having to buy any "special" new tools, and will I need the front end aligned after installation ?

I've got a stock 05 screw 4x4. Looking at getting the Bilstein 5100's. I know the fronts have a setting for 0" and 2" and also 1"? Do the rear shocks lift it at all? Will I need anything other than a spring compressor to install these out of the box? Thanks!

You shouldn't need any special tools (generally struts require spring compressors).

The 5100 fronts can go from 0 - 2" the rears are for 0 - 1". Generally struts require spring compressors. You shouldn't need a spring compressor.

So I'm not sure why they have -H0 listed...

My reply above was regarding a Fabtech 6" + P.A. 3" lift.

And for some reason or another Bilstein shows the rears are eligible for the buy 3 get 1 free but not the fronts in that part number.

I'm curious on what you are paying for those shocks out the door (including shipping)?

We offer free shipping + 5% discount.

Hope that helps! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I am looking for the same shocks that cashel is, in the above post are you saying the part #s with HO are not eligible for the promo or the ones you are selling?

Rider,

The 'H0' 5100 shocks that are available for the 97 - 03 F150s are for a 4" front and 2" rear. The 'H5' 5100's are for a 6" front and 4" rear.

The H0's are eligible for this promotion, whereas only the rears are for the H5's.

I don't understand why Bilstein did it this way. I hope this answers your question.
