steel leveling kit noise

i have a 2.5" lvl kit and i get a little bit of metal-on-metal noise on larger bumps

is that normal or do the spacers need to be tightened?

thanks

i know the upper control arm could hit the coil if there was to much drop, never had it happen but that is what the guy said who installed mine when i use to have it on

Torque your swaybar endlinks where they connect to the LCA.

As mentioned, the noise may be the UCA hitting the coils or the sway bar links. If it truly is the leveling kit, it should not be loose, also check the huge nut and bolt holding the bottom of the coil-over assembly.

Totally out of place but yes, a very good choice. Check out what other people have done: tires, wheels, gears, etc. to run 37s.

From my experience there is alot of rubbing with steel leveling kits that i never noticed until and some that was obvious.

My old one used to rub/hit the LCA when the spindle was turned. It rubbed the spindle stop on the LCA so much when turning turning uphill/over bumps that it finally wore it off.

My tires rubbed the frame when at full lock on one side making a god aweful noise.

My UCA's did hit the coils quite often over speed bumps, turning uphill, or in potholes/large dips.
