leveling kit w/additional lift??

Hey y'all, probably a stupid question, but i recently installed a 3" leveling kit on my 06, and i still have stock tires, rims, etc. I really would like to get a 6" suspension kit, and was wondering if th leveling kit would need to be removed to install the 6" lift or if i could just add it in addition to the leveling kit. Also, any opinions on what size tires would be apropriate would be appreciated

Ive heard of guys putting level kits on top of their procomp 6"... and procomp uses a 6" block, so I suppose you could stack it, but i woundn't reccomend it, just my 2 cent... p.s. I also have a 3" level kit... have you ever had any problems with the 4wd?

i think that would probably be the safest overall way to go, so i agree with you, nope my 4wd is as reliable as the whole truck, i honestly can't tell a difference with the leveling kit at all, can you??

x2 on not stacking spacers. If you got coil-overs then take out the leveling kit and crank them two inches. Probably better for off roading, IMO.

Or you could just put the leveling kit on the coil-over, without cranking them. What size tires are you wantin?

well thats why i'm askin y'all, i've only had the leveling kit since december but i REALLY want to sit higher, which is why my first impule is to stack so i can get as much lift as poissible, but something tells me that kind of alteration to the suspension wouldnt turn out too well goin over a bump or large log off the pavement. In a perfect world i'd be sittin on 40's haha but that sint gonna happen so im stuck between 6" of lift on 35's or stackin and shovin 37's under there, what do y'all think? Most people are tellin' me not to stack which is kind of sketch so i doubt i will, ill just trash the leveling kit when i lift it

oh, and ya I would do what you just said, and do 6" and trash the level kit... If I get my truck back, I am taking that piece of junk off and doing a full 4" or 6" lift

think about an 8" rise if you want more lift than a 6" Once you have lifted it with a real lift, you won't want to add a spacer. It's like buying you wife a nice dimond ring and deciding after that you want it to look better, so you have the jeweler add in a cubic zerkonia. If you want more bling, buy the rise 8".

I have asked this question on f150forum too. I was thinking if I got the stage 2 pro comp with the new coilovers, that I could put my 3" leveling kit on top of that. Angles should essentially be the same as they are now, with the 6" kit putting them back to stock, then the spacer putting them where they are now. I don't know if this would work or be safe, but it sounds like it would be ok to me?

Depending on how much offroading you do will determine which lift to go with. If you're like me and just use it mostly as a weekend vehicle then a 2" - 2 1/2" spacer would work fine, but not a 3". For off roading get either the procomp stage 2, Fabtech with coilovers or 8" Rize. All 3 kits are close in price.

I like the Fabtech w/ coilovers & steering stabilizer.

if you want to live in the perfect world it can be done for sure, you need some cash though.

8" rize bumped to 10" with coilovers. no spacers.
3" Body lift.

You now have the room for your 40's.

But realistically, i would get the 8" Rize. if you want more lift you can crank it to 10" and run 38's.
I dont reccomend spacers. at all.

You seem like you want some height. if so dont settle with a 6". save and get an 8"

and for everybodys referance that asked in this thread, i wouldnt reccomend an extra 3" on any suspension, either it be a lift or stock suspension.
