Just Cranked the T-bars.

Measured the threads showing first - D- side 1/2" ~ P- side 9/16. Cranked the bolts evenly. I'm @ 1/4" ~ 5/16" currently.

Surprised how much that brought the front end up - Almost 1.5" (both sides).

That was more than expected, but I think it looks much better. Front end is a little to high in comparison to the rear.

So - What do you guys use to bump up the rear about an inch. You make a block ? Buy one ? Looks like I could fab something up real quick - but curious how you guys did it. ? Would like to leave the front end where she's at currently.

I plan to get aligned again.

Duh!! Why the hell didn't I think of that Trailer empty is about 1900 lbs. - loaded - 4500 lbs. Yea , I can tell when she's heavy, the motor don't sweat it, but she squats right down.

That's what I'll do, thanks!

ha no prob...first time i loaded my racecar on the trailer and seen it squat i went and recalculated the weight of the set-up like 4 times before i finally convinced myself that the springs just sucked that bad lol...only made it two miles before the trailer tires blew so i didn't get much of a test done but after that i always pulled it with our 3/4 ton diesal

i plan on adding a aal and cranking the torsion bars on mine as well and was hoping it would be pretty level

if you could...would you post some pics after you add the aal?? i have a 98 as well with the 5.4L

Here`s what I have on the back of my truck to lift it up about a 1" or 1 1/2", it works great when hauling a heavy load but it doesnt ride as rough as a add-a-leaf.

not bad i don't like the 300 dollar price tag...and i'm more comfortable with 4 leaf springs instead of 3

with the truck not loaded at all or loaded in the front of the box, wouldn't that setup put slightly more load on the front half of the leaf spring?? or would it not be enough to even matter

Looks like I'll need U-bolts. Damn! I don't have a pic of the threads, but there's only about a 1/2" left.

Yea , I was at the site for awhile. Neat and easy set up. I liked this one as well. -

I don't want to affect the ride if I can help it - Finally got it to where it rides like new. Hell , it even stops loaded now lol. Think I finally have all the brakes working with each other.

Thinking about heading up town to a place called Arce Spring for a new set.

Alright, since you asked ( :

I ended up throwing some 3" blocks under the springs to level it out. I couldn't add a leaf, it has one. We pulled a van on a tandem trailer just fine with this set up as is. Didn't really want a stiffer ride. 4 springs is plenty for me.

Overall, I gained about 2" in the front, maybe a little more and with the block in the rear , it sits level.

Before -

After -

3" Blocks -

Used 10" U-bolts. Replaced all the plastic spacers in between the springs (8 per side). She's quiet now, no squeaking. .

BTW - Tires are stock size. Well, what came stock w/off-road package = 265's
