Yeah I will do away with these cheap and badly cracked running boards. I want either black OEM 4" oval bars, or those black low profile nerf bars with the step things on them, i forget what they're called.

im assuming your 2wd since your talking about leveling kits. i believe 2 1/2" is to much for a 97-03. i think 2" or so is max. and a cheaper way to get 5.5" is get a spindle lift and use a spacer and put a block in the rear. and then you have all new suspension and no BL

Oh! Those are the step bars I was trying to say, very low profile with steps only for the doors. I'm gonna highly consider them. I still like the look of OEM black ovals though.
