What was the difference between 35 and 37 on your mpg?

I need to buy new tires, shocks and re-gear this summer... While i'm at it, i may buy a suspension lift. I can get fabtech basic for 1600$ canadian

6'' + 3'' and 37'' would be sick.

I was just looking at some sites, and I think you can actually buy a Rize 8" cheaper then you can a Fabtech stage 2. Other then spending a little more on 37's, what are the other additional costs and how much? Regear etc?

you're going to have to regear which will run you anywhere from 1100 - 1600 depending on the shop.

with 37's+, you NEED to regear. i have seen a buddy go through two transmissions because he didn't regear w/ his heavy 38's.

Brah! yes higher and bigger, i'm looking into snatching myself a 2009 and going 8-9 in. lift with 37's. but right now Rize has only 6 in. system, i believe at this moment.

I'd buy either a RIZE 8" Lift or a Fabtech Stage 2 with coilovers, whichever you can get a better deal on.

I'd rather have the RIZE though just because of the front crossmember and it's an actual 8" lift, no cranking anything, so you could always throw bilstein 5100's on the font and get 10 inches of lift

And get 37" tires

After doing my homework, I was able to fit 37's on my '01 Exped. with only a 6" RCD lift.... no body lift. I went with a slightly narrower wheel then most, and it will tuck them on all four corners

if you are even thinking about 37's go w/ 8" of lift, you will regret it later if you dont. but you do know whats better than 37's dont you? 38's!

I'm a fan of 35's here. I had 37's on my last rig and honestly the added weight and loss of fuel mileage really didn't make it up in the looks department for me. I went with 35s on this truck and I am happy with the result.

It's not that bad after all.

What's your average mpg in city/highway?

With a 6" lift, can you have driveshaft issues like you can with an 8" lift?

I've got a 99' with 35's, but if I could...I'd love an 04 with 37's. They look amazing..and most people will tell you, if you even have the least bit of doubt that 35's wont satisfy you, it'll always be there until you get 37's...Personally, I like the larger trucks, and I want to put 37's on mine by the summer..plus, when the guy that pulls up next to you at the stop light has 35's, all you have to do is smile..haha

You know that the 09's will fit 37's w/ just a 6" lift right?
