Why not ? You don't have to go as extreme, but you can make your 05 a very capable wheeler, and still be a decent DD.

Lewisbest was an old member here. He took a new 04, did a SAS, swapped in a STAK t-case, 4 link and coilovers all around, bunch of other mods. My favorite truck to ever come across this site. Just crazy amounts of cool. Worth checking out !

his trucks been having constant problems lately. he gets it back and the same day something else will screw up. every time i talk to him his trucks not running and in the shop. i think hes wanting a f250 in the next few months to lift and start over w/ something more reliable and bigger.

Really ??? Didn't know that. You talk with him over on pirate ?

It's a shame. his truck was a pure beaut, and put together very well. Wonder what his issues are.

Gotcha ! :o

I knew that Lewisbest guy was having some issues, but that was awhile back and I had thought he got em all figured out. Maybe not though.

If I were to guess, I would say about 12" - 14" of lift, but thats just a guess !

You would need a certain amount of lift up front, to clear the oil pan (most likely). But I would think at least 8" or so of lift you'd be in the clear.

yes you need at least 8" to clear the front crossmember/ oil pan and all that.

Mines at about 22" of lift so id like to think his is around 10-14"

Hopefully test driving on monday or teusday. Finishing touches man.

all depends on what the steering is doing, maybe ill just turn it into a drag truck and only go straight

just looked up some stuff on his truck, its actually on 41x14.5x17 Super Swamper IROKs. His truck is VERY VERY close to the same heigth as mine. His frontend sits higher than the rear by atleast 3". and the 41's are in the fender on the front and kinda tight in the back so im gonna say about 13" of lift in the front, 10" in the back. Now this isnt the same as a normal IFS 10" lift. the axle tubing is bigger and the 4 link tabs give extra lift that is not calculated. into the spring lift.

The truck is great but now that i looked into it more theres some stuff i dont agree on. The truck has full hydro steering i dont care for that on a street driven truck (not sure if its street driven at all since it does have bead locks) The winch is under powered. the 9.5 is just too small. The rear is lower than the front.

I love the 4 linked front, the hydro steering is great if its offroad only vehicle, the suspension was definitely dont correct. The bumpers are great and functional.
