Might be getting a Body Lift

Well I have been going back and forth about lifts for a few months now and heres what I think I have decided. (emphasis on THINK).

Heres the break down: I have to use my stock wheels and my current tires (35" Pro Comp extreme a/t's). I first wanted a body lift and then everyone steered me away from that...for awhile. Then I was really close to buying a used Rancho 4" lift but the seller didnt want to ship and was f*cking around. And buying a new lift isnt in my budget. Then I heard you could use a Fabtech with stock wheels, but then as you can see in the debate in the other thread, got shut down quickly.

Now here I am again, I cant spend that much on a lift. I know save up and get a suspension lift! But I dont want to wait and still cant see myself dropping $2000+ on a lift. So I called a local shop that installs body lifts, it is the only shop around that does. I asked how much to install a body lift and was quoted $250-300. And this is the second time they have quoted me this price, once on my dodge ram 1500 that I ended up not doing a lift and trading it in.

So with roughly $600 I can get a body lift installed! I am seriously thinking about doing this. I have to pay off my tuition first then its all good.
Also here is my thinking on getting a body lift:
I dont offroad, due to the fact that there is no legal place where I live.
I have to use my stock wheels, cuz of cost.
And BL look good on the newer f150's, with steps of course.

SO there is my break down. Im sure many will chime in and say dont do it (And I mean ATOM) LOL. As well as some that will say go ahead. But for the price I think thats what Im gonna do.

What year is your truck?

If it is an 04+ it will be more than that guaranteed!

Its a 2005 FX4. I know everyone else has been getting quoted $600. And I believe it because of the time it takes. I have read the instructions and its just time consuming. But I called and said a 2005 Ford F150 and that I already had the lift (but I dont, cuz I can get it cheaper from online) and he said it would only be $250-300, I said thanks and hung up. I am going to go down their and get a written estimate so they cant screw me and raise the price halfway through the install and then I will order the lift.
