Leveling Kit Question

If i put a 2.5" leveling kit on my 01' screw f150 they say i can only get 33" tires under there max...but i've seen people on here have 35" tires on a leveling kit. how would i be able to do that?

4x4 or 4x2? I hope you didn't waste your money on a leveling kit if you have a 4x4, since you could level it for free with the torsion bar preload adjustment.
Anyway, you can fit up to a 35x12.50 on the 97-08 4x4's by using the oem wheels. That is the secret. However, it's a very tight fit and there will be some minor rubbing.

Hey wandell, Does the method you refer to for leveling a 4x4 make the truck ride rough or pull the bottom of the front tires together toward the center of the truck?

I have recently purcased a '09 F-150 SC 4x4 and want to level it. I have been looking into a leveling kit...your post intrigues me.

Thanks for the help, Deon.

on the 97-03 trucks with torsion bars, if you turn them (lift the front end) the ride in the front will be stiffer, 33s will look great after that is done too! to me i like the stiffer ride better, but it wasnt that dramatic of a change. and for the 09 f150 you can get a leveling kit for it online, no torsion bars on the 04 and ups. they have them in 2, 2.5, or 3 inch leveling kit. most run the 2.5". hope this helped.

Thanks for the reply. I found a place online that advertises a 2" kit. I also measured the distance from the top of my tire to the top of my fender well in the front and rear...about 2" higher in rear. Am I doing this right to determine my lift? Will a 2.5" kit look better? I really do not want the front higher than the rear; just level.

Thanks again...
