12" and 40's downgraded because of stupid MD lift laws

I've seen some extra huge newer trucks in Bethany. Just because that one person you talked to said they didn't worry about it doesn't mean another trooper or cop won't wite your a$$ up in a heartbeat! Not sure why you're so pumped about Deleware, the law is still in place and sucks just as bad as most other states. Whatever brightens your day though bro.....

it seems as though i have came to this party late... but here's what has happened to me.
i own a 2000 f150 ext bed.. and a 92 jeep cherokee. the jeep is lifted 15 inches (that was an ordeal) and its sitting on 40's. it also has tube doors so it turns the cops heads..
i was driving the jeep a few months ago and a cop pulled me and we spent 30 minutes going over every thing from the doors, lights, seat belts, and then finally... my lift.. here in virginia the law is no more than 28 inches from the ground to rear bumper, and in absence of rear bumper, its the frame at same height. now of course being only 18, the cop was already trying to prove his point. but my jeep has no rear bumper and in his words "i can SEE that your vehicle exceeds legal height." so he gave me a ticket. i took the ticket to court (dont know why i did that but, i did) and the judge told me that if i could make the height legal in the next 30 days then i would no longer be responsible for the ticket. so, i tried multiple things, and ended up being able to just simply get an adjustable hitch and lowered it within legal limits and passed... i dont know if you could get away with that.. but, thats what i did...

Indiana
Simply put, that bumper needs to stay within 3 inches of the factory height. Keep those headlights at 54 inches, while you're at it.
I thought that Indiana, the bottom of the bumper had to be no more than 36 inches from the ground. My buddy got pulled over with his f250 and they gave him a ticket for being at 38" rather than 36". That was about 6 years ago though. Maybe laws changed?

Screw that noise man, go ***** out and jack that thing up. I'm all about the "do now, worry later" approach and it hasn't let me down yet...next week I'll be installing a 180dB train horn...the law states that you cannot have a horn "louder than necessary that produces a harsh noise" I'd say peoples sound systems are so loud these days they can't hear a normal horn so I needed something to get their attention haha....here's my baby right now though, almost finished!!
