Thanks, but now im kinda looking at an LS2 or LS6 w/ turbo 400. And not have to worry about the S/charger.. letting me race in a few more classes. Depends on whats out there and right price.

Your truck and build look awesome!!! This is the plan for my truck a few years down the road (im in school and I could only dream about the funds lol), I have nothing even close to your fab skills so Ill prob be looking at the h & m kit or the dirt tech kit. I assume your building a full 4 link rear end? I personally want to do a L swap or build my own blown 5.4L and run the much stronger 4r100 trans out of the lightning. We saw a fully built supercrew a while back locally and he was running some kind of built Ford big block, I wanna say it was a 462? I understand the NA thinking, but personally Id want to keep it all ford (easy and Im a ford guy). For now we have a Tatum Black widow dual sport with a built up LS7, and my dad is talking about picking up a nice 1450 ranger or something similar to beat on...I wish he'd just build my f150 though! Im JEALOUS!!!

The spindles i got from Richer racing in Cali, They are from his older F150 kit before it was re designed. He sent me the blocks and plates for the uprights. Pretty much a weld it yourself kit.. but helped a ton, all the KPI and steering was already there. But i need to machine the front lip off that block, and get a plate from blitzkrieg motorsports welded on there so i can run Dana 44 snouts/hubs, or 2.5 race snouts in time.

Thanks, Just keep saving and getting parts slowly, And H&M kit is awesome.. i would do that or the new Blitz kit. But do the hu upgrade for sure.

Rear is gonna be 3 linked. We can use the measurements fom the toyota in the shop, and just extend. And its a bit easier. As for motor.. Lighting swap would be cool, so i could keep stock gauges for most part, think it would be clean, but LS's just have so much power off the start. So i dont know yet.

Good luck with the 1450..see ya out there!

No doubt...my plan is to drive it for another year or two and then pick up a car and park the truck and slowly start to build it up. Id just be careful with the LS engines and make sure you build it right, our LS7 is going to be rebuilt after this season because it isnt making quite the power it should (Turnkey engine suppy sucks!), and it doesnt come alive until 3K with not enough torque, then again its being run more in the sand and 37" paddles...but its pretty strong in the dirt tho! I would think a 5.4L with a SC would build a bunch of power from the top to bottom, bolt right in, and be ready to go with pretty much just a custom tune. Anyways good luck with the project!!!

Got some 2.5x10 SAW's Older, but got them from a friend on the cheap. Gonna replace the top caps, maybe the shock bodies, the Heims, new seals, Dual rate sliders. ECt.. Shafts and resi's are in great cond. After the new parts, still be into them for under the price of 1.

We used to cut everything with a cut wheel and grinder, But since we got a plasma, WOW.. Its only a Harbor freight special, but it cuts 3/16 like butter. Just keep gun level. Its well worth the money. Especially for Radius cuts. Tabs, stuff like that. Even straight lines, i cut out the plates for the uppers with the plasma, just clamped a piece of angle iron along the straight line i wanted, ran gun along that. Straight as can be.
