Here's a link to a autospring write up to compare the look of the stock upper coil bushing vs. mine. https://www.f150online.com/forums/su...t-install.html

I'm pretty sure there's a 1/2 to 1" spacer on top of the factory bushing on my 05. My upper bushing or "spacer" is a lot more visible than this other one.

What do you guys think?

Definately looks like you have a spacer in there. Ask your mechanic if there was one on there when he took the coils off. Also do you have pics of the outside so we can see if it looks abnormally high in the front.

It doesn't sit adnormally high in the front but it definetely looks leveled, before I could tell it had a slight front rake but it wasn't level like it is now. I'm gonna call my mechanic on monday and I'll let you guys know what's up.

The ones that were purchased from me never changed in their ride quality. They rode great from day 1 and I just upgraded because I wanted to. They were nice and plush yet had just the right amount of rebound. The picture you posted there has worse angles than my truck had with a 2.5 Daystar kit in it...I would wonder if the rings were machined in the wrong positions.

The bad ride is the result of topping out.

It looks to me like you've got a coil spring spacer. You can see mine installed. Notice the markings from the installation?

Yeah there is a steel spacer on top of the factory coil bushing. I'm having the same mechanic remove it on weds so I'll let you guys know how it turns out. I'm really hoping this solves the problem because I'm tired of my truck riding like a lumber wagon!

Good to hear

Do you have a pic of your truck from the side, pre-Bilsteins?

Good news to hear that it was not the shocks that were causing the problem. Thanks for keeping us posted.
