Need Advice

I want to buy a 2.5 lvling kit and tires. What I would like everyones advice on is where can I find a good cheap lvling kit and what size/brand of tire I should get. I want a aggressive look that does good in most weather conditions. Tires cant be too expensive.

I was thinking og getting some Firestone Destination M/T's. Ive read good reviews that say there good in the snow also. I live in Michigan so I need a good tire. My current tire are 235/75/17. Ya there crap!

well most guys are running the auto spring leveling kit. as for tires you can fit a 315/70/17 on the stock rim or 295/70/17, 285/70/17. i live in wisconsin and i will NEVER run mud tires in the winter again, up and over 5 times. i would get a nice all terrain, if money is an issue, check out treadepot.com they have good prices on tires.

I agree. I'd go with the Autospring leveling kit.
As a general rule with the new 4x4's you can fit 35x12.50's using the oem wheels or 33's with aftermarket wheels.

go to 4wheelparts.com and check out some of the 35x12.5x17 alll terain tires they have. The MT ATZ's are an EXCELLENT tire and are listed at $305.99 before their sale price. Also, they have the Pro Comp radial all terain listed for $250.99 before their sale price if you want something cheaper. Not sure how either one handles the snow but they should be good. The ATZ's will last you 50k+ miles too. Check ebay out for a leveling kit. There's plenty of them on there.

If you currently have 235's, you probably also have 3.55 gears?
If you do, I wouldn't recommend a 35, go with a 33 instead so you don't lose as much power.

hey may have 3.55 or 3.73's. i have 3.55's and personally don't feel a lot of power loss. i don't tow either with it, just a DD. i knocked down 17+ with the truck on the highway, 35's with 3.55's, according to the edge.

i would get a wide tire just because i think they look much better something atleast 12.50". aslo you may have 3.55's but do you atleast have a 5.4? if so you wont have to much of a problem rolling some 35's imo.

Even with 3.55 gears, I'm not saying it will be unbearable, lots of people do it. But going from a 31x9.5" tire to a 35x12.50 is a pretty big step up, just giving a heads up.

Also, living in Michigan, you might want to consider something more narrow than a 12.50 for ice and snow, depending on how exactly you use the truck.
I've had 12.50's on my last three trucks and personally haven't had problems in snow and ice, but some people hate it. An A/T tire or siped M/T will help a lot over a standard M/T. If I lived somewhere that got more snow I would absolutely get my tires siped. I've done it to a few sets of M/T's and it made a huge difference in wet/snow/icy conditions, and didn't tear up the tires too bad.

I wouldn't go over a 30'' tire with stock 3.55's.
