Body Lift etc...
Okay, so here's what Im going to do... After much research, and much debate with myself and others. I am going to have a 3" body lift installed. Im not sure how I'll do the tow hooks... I really want a grill guard, but Im not sure where I could get the brackets to mount it. And if I did get the brackets would it be mounted firmly? by firmly I mean, would I have the ability to knock stuff over
w/ the grill guard on there w/ the body lift? and what size tire can I go with w/o a level kit? just a BL.

Ok if your going to go with a body lift, And I understand due to money cuz I will probably be doing the same, please put on a leveling kit. At least a 2", it looks so much better and it will look like you have a 6" lift. Leveling kits are cheap, as you know, and putting them on is a breeze, so why not do it. And I will be selling a 2" leveling kit soon, so keep an eye out.
If your really set on a brush/grill guard, i wouldnt go with a BL, unless you dont mind that it sits 3in lower
also put a leveling kit on, it will look much better, unless you want that factory rake.

and just to let you guys know....
there's a guy in the classifieds selling a slightly used Pro Comp 6" stage 1 for $850. I almost bought it but after doing the math and some research, I'm gonna go with a new Rize 8". The seller sayis it only has 7K miles on it and it's been on his truck for a year.
Might be another option for you wingman4....

well since I can get them brand new from 4wheelparts for $1268 shipped, I cant see paying $1000 not shipped. Not sure what I would pay for them, if I didnt have to have them shipped I would probably offer $800....maybe.
x2, with shipping, i could of bought a new one for $300 more
Yeah, w/ money and everything, and the fact that the 4" rancho was more of an impulse thing at fist... I really liked it, but I only want 3" and I really like the BL, and the fact (at least on my buddy's '03) that it's much easier to clean off the undercarriage. Yeah... I will probably put some sort of spacer on. I just don't want my CV's to be at a bad angle to use the 4wd. I agree - factory rake is too much unless you're loading some pregnant cattle in the bed. But it would sit level then.
You in the market for them? Where are you located? if it's a reasonalble distance I may consider delivering them or meeting halfway for $800. My girlfiend and I are in need of a weekend getaway anyhow.
I am in the market but im not at the same time. I could use new tires soon but have some time before they get bad. I am in Michigan, its about a 13-14 hour drive to MD, so thats not gonna happen. I will probably start looking in a few months. I wish I had 17" rims, I found a great deal on some BFG mud terrain's, ones new and the others have 90% tread for only $350.
