lifting problems

i have a black 4x2 f150 and im about to trick the crap out of this truck. First i have a couple questions though....what im going to do is a 6" fabtech with 35" mud grapplers with the 20'' kmc hoss. i was going to do a 4" but since mine is 2wd it wouldnt be anywhere near tall enough haa. what my question is is since mine is 2wd and im putting a 35'' tire on it the truck wont lift tall enough to clear a the tires and i dont want to put a spacer on it because im not wanting to mess up my front end. is their any other way that i could clear these tires without the spacer such as trimming the little plastic skirt peace on the bottom of the bumper and if thats possible do you think it would look good.

Welcome to the site.

ok well first off everyone that is running 2"-2 1/2" Leveling kits are not having problems and that would be the cheapest even though you said you didnt want that but no one has any problems with it and also a Body Lift from performance accessories. Although its a PITA for installing a body lift on our 04-08 year trucks from what i hear. I myself have had a 2" leveling kit from Auto Spring $90 Shipped for about 1 1/2 years now and nothing wrong with anything up front in my truck and i have off road my truck pretty darn hard several times and nothing. It gave me the extra 2inches up front though so now i have a total of 8inches of lift

A 6 inch Fabtech lift will allow you to fit 35's on your 4x2. Whether or not you have to do any trimming will depend on the wheel you use (width and backspacing).
Also, I'd reconsider your tire choice. The Mud Grapplers perform well but they are extremely loud and wear out quickly.

heres a link to one of the threads that was started by another member but you can see the pics of my mud grapplers and i have about 14k on them and they are working great for me. I rotate them and get them balanced every 3k though so they will last longer.

yes it will make your truck level it. Not sure if it will make your truck a lil higher in the front. Some guys here say the 2.5 puts your truck a lil higher up front and some say its level. I went with the 2" and im sitting level.

pretty much here is your set up that your looking at but with a 2" leveling kit and a 3" Body Lift different tires/rims but you can get the idea he has a total of 11inches of lift but if you were to pull up too a 4wd with 11" of lift you will sit lower.

This is Skeeter USAF truck

Like the post above this one is with a 2" leveling kit and you see how its level so you can go with a 2" and be fine

Yeah I would definately reconsider those tires. Good to see more FX2 being lifted. I would add the leveling kit and an AAL if your going to be towing.

most 6" lifts sit a lil low in the rear stock. many people add AAL or bigger blocks in the rear. if your towing i would suggest an AAL to help with your towing.
35's will clear depending on your wheel, if it were me i would go ahead and get a 2" spacer on the front to give you more lift.
