97-03 F150s with ProComp 6" lifts

For those people with 97-03 supercab or supercrews with V8's; could you please take and post up a picture of you upper control arms and/or measure the distance from the center of your front hub up to the fender. I am running the procomp 6" lift on my 03 v6 regular cab and after cutting 1/4 coil, I can just get my finger between the upper control arm and the droop stop(frame). I hate how over sprung my setup is. Just wanting to know how much droop travel you have with the procomp kit for those with v8's, extended cabs and supercrews.

By the way, the procomp kit I am referring to is the one with the drop down crossmember.

you cut the original coil? That doesn't sound very safe.

I ditched the fabtech kit a while ago in favor of this pro comp kit. I was able to sell the fabtech for 600 and buy this kit for 900 new, not bad I think. After having the fabtech kit on for only 30K miles, I blew out all my tierods, upper and lower ball joints. After going to the procomp kit, I have more droop travel and slightly less stiff of a ride. Though, I got pissed when I saw that CST sells v6 regular cab specific springs that would have worked with the fabtech kit.
My goal is to have coilovers in the front with the procomp spindles and crossmember and deavers out back.
Its kind of hard managing mods for the truck or for my cobra, but that should get easier once I'm outta school and in to a real job.

I did not cut my stock spring. I cut the procomp lift coil that came in the 6" kit. I did so to bring down the front end just a little bit to obtain more droop travel so I don't have the a-arms slamming the stops all the time.
