Smile Lift or Drop?????

05 F150 XLT----I want to level out the truck but am not sure whether to raise the front 2" or drop the rear 2". If anyone can help me out by giving me the pros and cons of both and some first hand experiences with both scenarios. Is their really that much of a difference or is it just a matter of ones personal style and opinon. Im thinkin lower the rear because i want a performance look more than that of an offroad look. All opinions are welcomed.

There you go then. Lower the rear and install some 22 or 24 inch wheels. Really, it's all about personal preference.

Smile Yea.

Yea. I leaning kinda that way now. I dont know if I wanna go that big with the rims though. You think 18" would be big enough. I have 17" factories now.

no go with at least 20" but deffinatly lower, there is no advantage to lifting a truck other then you can fit bigger tires which are better for slow off roading

I am with azmidget91, I say lower it and go at least 20. Don't waste you hard earned money on one size bigger than what it came with. you can get a great deal on some 20's or 22's. That is just my thoughts on your situation.

Thanks everybody sounds like some pretty good advice. Unfortunately my chaeckbook is going to determine the wheel size, but I may be able to pull of 20" all depends on the fundage though, and Im going to need new tires pretty soon so Im getting them all as a package. But we will see.

20" inch rims are pretty popular and won' tbe budget breakers like they used to be back in the 90's when they were "so huge"

2wd - drop it with big rims

4wd - lift it with no larger than 18"s with 33s or 35s.

I was just looking on TireRack and found some Shelby Razor twentys (black w/ machined lip). I was thinking about those with Pirelli Scorpions 275/55/20. Does that sound like a pretty good combo? Its only $130 more than th 18" combo i was going to go with, which really surprised the H-LL out of me.

I'd go with another tire. After all of the terrible reviews of the oem Pirelli Scorpions, I be scared to try them. The Falkens STZ/04 is a great tire at a great price.

Lower it if you want to lower it. But definitely get some 20's if you do. Moving up 1" of rim aint really that great.
